Horses & Beasts From Afar
A stranger from someplace up north drove into the sale pens, hauling a large livestock trailer. The horses in there whinney and pawwed at the floor that was a mixture of straw, sawdust, manure, and urine. The drive had been long and they all just wanted to run. In another trailer, bellows, baas, and squels sounded as more animals were brought in. He stopped the truck at a corral, back the trailer up to the gate, and opened the trailer door, letting the various horses race into the dusty corral where buckets of water and grain awaited them. Another corral was filled with some horses, a couple cows, sheeps, goats, and pigs. A real zoo.
